This is a holiday mix I put together with my brother Daniel. We made it 
on Christmas Day from vinyl records he has lying around his apartment. 
The idea was that vinyl sound would evoke a few distant times and 
places, even if you were born after these songs. All the crackles are 
there, quiet and nostalgic, yearning to warm the cockles of your heart.<br>

The mix is exactly in the order we originally listened to the songs, in 
a sort of impromptu listening party. He and I both enjoy sitting down 
and listening to a vinyl record from start to finish, looking over the 
cover art and liner notes, and sipping on a glass of bourbon. And while 
I can't promise to recreate that sort of visceral experience with this 
CD, I hope maybe you'll get the idea.<br>
